Welcome to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Love_Philly is an online, journal based RPG. It's set in a fictious apartment complex in East Falls, Philadelphia. The people that live here, families, singles, couples, and roomates, are just going about their every day lives. Interacting with the people they live with, along with their neighbors. This is not a plot heavy game. It's more of a make your character and let them interact.

The apartments in Independance Cove range from modest studios and lofts, to four bedroom two floor apartments. The higher the floor, the higher the price of the apartment. It's fairly diversified, with both middle and upper class tennants.

It's a hub of activity with near-by coffee shops and bars, and it's own indoor/outdoor pool, a fitness center, a common room, and community garden. Management tries to host a complex wide get together once every month or so, and every tennent it invited to join. In the summer there are pool parties with a DJ that go all day, and into the night, in the fall there are themed parties in the common room, in winter time there is the annual Christmas and New Years eve parties, as well as "July in winter" indoor bbq's, and in spring there are picnics and cookouts.

Independance Cove is located near public transportation (the SEPTA system) and has off street parking, with one spot for studio and loft apartments, and two for one bedroom plus, as well as a guest lot.
  RULES
1. Keep OOC and IC separate. If you have a personal problem, please leave it out of the game.

2. Unless otherwise stated in the subject or a cut, all posts to this community as well as your journal are in character.

3. You must put a disclaimer in your character's userinfo stating that the character is just for a game.

4. To make reading through your friends' pages easier, you need at least one icon of your character. If you don't have any, the mod will be more than happy to make you one.

5. Major character changes need to be run by the mod, as well as other characters you play with. However the mod has the option to allow or deny the change.

6. This is a played-by game, so Harry Potter isn't going to be here. And if he is, it won't be Dan Radcliffe. Make sense?

7. Both storybook and asterisk play is welcomed here. And if you don't feel comfortable playing over AIM, by all means please play here at the journal. There will be a community set up specifically for thread play.

8. Speaking of thread playing, if you're starting one, please use the following header:
WHO: which characters are involved. mary sue & gary stu.
WHAT: what happened. mary steals gary's ice-cream and gives it to lieutenant dan.
WHEN: what day it happened & around what time. monday, may 29th. 10:32 AM
WHERE: where it happened. it doesn't have to always center around the complex. ice-cream place down the street from acid.
RATING: movie-type ratings. use your best judgement. frolicking through daisies would be G, kissing in the daisies would be PG/PG-13, profanity, mild violence and nudity in the daisies would be R, hot sex in the daisies would be NC - 17. logs that have R/NC - 17 material need to be under an lj-cut. if you don't know how to do this, noworries, the mods will help you out.
STATUS: just begun/in the process/complete!

9. And on that note as well, please try to use proper grammer and spelling. Typos are okay, and a part of human nature. But when you're TaLkInG lIkE dIs or in all netspeek, it's very difficult to understand. Sticky caps will not be tolerated at all, and netspeak is only acceptable in IC aim conversations, and occassionally in the journal. When logging or threading, please don't use it.

10. Because everyone loves even numbers... HAVE FUN!
